Good post. Your messages are really interesting. To have a good blog you should not only to post something, but do it with your soul. You managed with it - thanks.

After 47 years upon this earth, I have found my true hero. Though rather withdrawn and shy, upon teaching her subject of expertise to a classfull of fearful students taking college math, she becomes animated. And there is an aura about her that touches her students, and they learn the subject matter because she opens doors to their understanding of her beloved subject. There are beautiful patterns and organization in what first appears chaos, and she teaches her students to decipher this. It is a beautiful thing. My college professor has Asperger's syndrome. The only thing wrong with her are the labels and stigmas which society inflicts because of their lack of education and understanding.

And if this happens to her, it must also happen to other individuals afflicted with AD/HD, autism, and Asperger's syndrome. And this makes me sad.

You see, she is my hero and deserves to be valued for the differences which make her so special .... not given a label and therefore judged as different by society and therefore not acceptable.
