I talked to Zach this morning for a few minutes via phone. Hes been in a Crisis housing place that has someone to talk to 24 hours a day. He says he is doing well but still struggling with depression. He has started a new anti-depresent and is hopeful it will help him.
When he is discharged he is trying to get in place a therapist as well as someone that will check on him a few days a week. Insurance is being a pain in the butt though. When he gets out he will be living at a new apartment and he is hopeful that this will give him a fresh start.
He remains dedicated to Katelyn but often worries about her, and their future together. The program manager at the crisis house is trying to work with Katelyn’s guardian on some contact rules, and expectations hoping that this will benefit both Katelyn and Zach.
Where Zach is at is a voluntary program. There is staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week plus a doctor and nurse that visit daily.
If you have any comments for Zach please feel free to leave them and I’ll pass them on when I talk to him again,

Zach, I’m very glad to hear you are doing better. And I really hope that you can get to see the people you love. Take care.
I don’t know Zach personally – only through Twitter – but I’m glad he’s getting the help he needs. I was really worried about him. Please let him know that others are thinking of him.
Thanks for the words
It’s great to know that Zach has someone on board who really understands the situation with Katelyn and how important it is to both of them (that’s the way I read this anyway). I’ve blasted Katelyn’s guardian in the past for her conduct and I’ve seen nothing to change that view. I firmly believe that this situation is at the root of Zach’s depression. He needs Katelyn in his life, and I strongly suspect that the feeling is mutual.
Keep us up to date, Kelly!
No more blasting of Kate’s guardian please.
Mistakes were made by everyone involved… enough hurting. Now its time for healing.
I am glad to know you wanted to stop the cycle I went for help! It really does save lives!!I hope things continue to go well for you. There is a funny thing about hitting the bottom. From there the only way is up!
