Here is a Youtube video interview with the author of the book 22 Things A Woman Most Know If She Loves A Man With Aspergers Syndrome. This video would make a great gift for those woman who are lucky enough to fall in love with a man that has Aspergers.
I’m sitting in a cafe right now watching this, so I’m going to rely on you – the readers to review this video because I can barley hear the video. The internet is down at my house right now. So I have to ask what are your thoughts on the video?
Do you agree or disagree with the points she makes? If you would like to purchase the book you can follow this link. If you have read the book please feel free to post your own review.

The audio is hard to process, especially for those with Auditory sensitivities- I’d like them to add Closed Captioning to the youtube videos.
From what I could make out, it seems okay.
Maybe I’ll do a transcription of it tomorrow. I’m having too much trouble getting to sleep as it is tonight.
I’m sorry for that.
*hug*
For the nights after a flashback hits, I sometimes have to use some Melatonin, and if I need something stronger, I take a tylenol pm and fix a glass of decaffinated green tea. The warm drink helps my body relax enough for the spasms in my legs to calm down (relaxes muscles) and the Tylenol pm helps me sleep no matter how viscious the flashback.
It’s worth a shot. *another hug*
I have read the book (I am an Aspie – 36 years). I do a lot of marriage counselling (bizarre job for an Aspie!!!) as a Christian Minister. I have since purchased a number of copies of the book to give to people and recommended that others look to get copies themselves. The book is fairly simple and straight talking. It is 22 short points (only a couple of pages each) but that is its strength. The book highlights the negative aspects that people need to be aware of but it also includes many of the positives – things that people may not notice at a first glance.
Not everything in the book applies to my relationship with my wife, but I have seen every one of the ‘22 things’ played out in the lives of some Aspies…!
One of the people I gave the book to thought at first that the book was a joke (it appears a little cheap) but then they bothered to take it home and read it. They were very angry with me – and the book. Her husband was screaming out of the pages and it made her confront what she was pushing to the background.
I am happy to continue to use this book and will continue to purchase copies as I see the need!
