If you recall earlier this year kindergarten teacher Wendy Portillo had her class vote out a autistic child, and now justice has happened.   The St. Lucie County School Board voted Ms. Portillo out of class for one year - Irony huh? Read it all..

I just ran into a very disturbing face book group, that states its mission is l is to inform girls and women that a percentage, not most, of Autistic people are more likely to be rapists.  So what you are saying is because I have autism I am more likely to rape woman I find attractive?   They then back up this claim with a whole bunch of nonsense information. Apparently Federal Prosecutors have filed a lawsuit on behalf of a child with Aspergers Syndrome because his landlord placed burdensome restrictions on his need for a service dog including it had to be less then 10 pounds, carried through common areas, not be left alone for more than 2 hours, and $1 million USD in liability insurance on the dog.  Prosecutors say those restrictions don’t constitute reasonable accommodations under the Fair Housing Act. Reuters is reporting today that a gene known as Contactin 4 may be the cause of many peoples Autism.  Dr. Eli Hatchwell of Stony Brook University Medical Center in New York recently led a study that found people with Autism have a higher rate of duplicate or deletions of DNA that disrupted Contactin 4. So I have been looking around the news latley for references of Aspergers and I found another person using Aspergers as an excuse for criminal behavior.  Many people are well aware of the story of Gary McKinnon - The Pentagon Hacker.  Well now there is a mother of a child who bombed a cafe in Exter, UK who claims her son has a mental age of a 10 year old due to Aspergers Syndrome.

So not only does Aspergers make hacking acceptable if your searching for information that your obsessive about such as UFO’s - it makes you have a ten year old mentality.  I’m getting very sick of Aspergers being used as an excuse for peoples screw-ups.  My life with Aspergers isnt exactly a cakewalk as it is - and then when things like this start swaying the oppinion of people it sure the heck aint gonna make it any easier.
