People say that songs often bring up emotional responses and there is one in particular that does for me. The song is ‘With Arms Wide Open’ by Creed.

If you can’t tell this song is about learning that your going to be a father. It makes me cry so much because it contains everything I was hoping for, and everything that never happened. I wanted to greet my daughter ‘with arms wide open’ and show her the world, show her everything…. and now I most likely will never even see my daughter.

Mine is a song that is quite a bit darker. It’s Until It Sleeps by Metallica. It talks about that beast that is inside me, that darkness that was built up a long time ago because of the things that happened, and how much I want the monster inside to sleep.
I’ll post the lyrics later. Another one is the one I played in honor of my father after his funeral, when I and my brother went out for drinks. That song is My Way, sung by Frank Sinatra. The lyrics hold alot of meaning for me, and it reminds me so much of him.
Last but not least, Falling Again by Lacuna Coil about the death of a dear friend. Once again lyrics will come later.
