Lately Zach has not been sleeping well but i know that he sleeps well when i am here and with him and at his side. Today has been a day of cuddling and talking and just laying by him watching him sleep, and me sleeping as well. While I was gone Zach would have terrible nightmares, but now that I am back and can help him threw some things it has helped him with the nightmares.
Zach and I are as close as you can get to being a married couple without being married, and when I am not here it is hard for him to sleep restfully and well some times he does not get to bed till 5 or 6 am if I am not here. Now I’m not saying that I have to be here to have him go to sleep just that he sleeps better when I’m with him.
Zach Sleeping
I have always loved to watch him sleep he looks so beautiful and cute!. I actually took a picture of him when we first started dating of him asleep on my mom and dad’s couch, it was and still is to this day, one of the most beautiful things to me. No one to me looks as stunning and beautiful sleeping as he does - But that may change a little after the baby is born.!!!
Does anyone have any advice you can give Zach, or both of us on how he might be able to sleep well even if I am not here all the time?
Katelyn is Zachary’s fiancee and also has fetal alcohol syndrome which she blogs about at Life With FAS

Well, I have sleep issues.
If I don’t have a job I stay up until 3am and sometimes later. When I have a job I try to go to bed at at least 10 or 11, but it’s hard because I’m NOT TIRED THEN. I am… a nocturnal creature who needs to read and listen to music at night.
Maybe I need pressure or something. Or to have someone nice and cute to sprawl on me as long as they let me listen to my tunes.
While Kate didn’t sprawl on me, we spent most of yesterday just cuddled up and sleeping together. It was so awesome!
Melatonin. You can get it at the supermarket. Effective, but not nearly as expensive as prescription drugs. No side effect, either.
That’s what I use, and I have plenty of lorazepam and amytriptylene here. I prefer the melatonin, cause it’s easier to get started in the morning.

John, you still have me confused with someone else, asswipe. I do Not drink, except for a glass of wine when I make spaghetti, if I happen to have some around, which I usually don’t.
Zach, you should see what the troll wrote about you recently, during your time of trouble. I don’t like to post on places where this fool can attack me, lie about me, and I assume others feel the same way. You should not allow this fool to comment here.
Clay,
Usually I take care of John’s posts like this moderating and editing them out. I apologize this one got through, and I am aware of Mr. Best’s post during my time of difficulty.
I have moderated Mr. Best’s comment and would like to publicly remind him that baseless and off topic attacks are not welcome here.

Thanks, Zach. Good luck on your Fireman training, and I hope you and Katie can fix up any problems, and live a long and happy life together.
I combine Valerian Root and Melatonin (both can be found for under $10 at Wal Mart). The Melatonin helps to induce sleep (unless you buy an extended release kind), and the Valerian Root helps with anxiety and increases the quality of your sleep. I also just started using a Lavender spray on my pillow cases. Lavender is what is in all the baby bedtime bathwashes too
