A Illinois couple recently sexually abused a eight year old child with Aspergers Syndrome, a form of Autism. They were sentenced to the maximum – 35 years December 11th. U.S. District Judge Joe McDade sentenced Raymond E. Freeman, 51, and Tammy Watters, 43 after finding them guilty of having sex with an eight year old autistic child and filming it. He said, “This is one of the worst cases of child abuse I have seen . . .,” McDade said. “And then you make a recording of it. Why? Why did you do that?” Each defendant tried to respond, but replied with only tears.
Do you think they should be sentenced more severly because the victim had a disability?

This makes me SICK!! I don’t understand why such a large percentage of us who are disabled get sexually abused! other than being vulnerable that is. I got my PTSD from being severly abused on all acounts, because I was vulnerable, and have always been physically weak, by someone who is supposed to be part of the family! (step brother)
That they seek out the most vulnerable to act such hurrendous crimes is awful, and call me old fashioned but I think for such people the death penalty should apply! But then again, as said previously I have alot of personal baggage and a mental illness due to such things, so I probably wouldn’t be the best person to decide the punishment, lol.
All I know is this abuse of those with disabilities has got to be brung out into the open and we as a society HAVE to start dealing with it! As each year the number of REPORTED (God only knows how many incidents continue and go unrecorded) offences go up, there needs to be a public outcry!
Only 35 years?! WTF!
