SafeMinds links Autism to Mercury

in science

In a move that anyone would have predicted one of the organizations founded to raise awareness of what they think the source of autism, mercury in vaccines has came up with scientific proof of that – reportedly.

In a study on monkeys they gave vaccines containing mercury (not thermisol which real vaccines have).   In the study apparently the group of monkey that got vaccinated had much larger brains then those that did not.  According to the press release this is a sure fire sign of autism.

The vaccinated monkeys also showed altered maturation of the brain’s amygdala which is the area of the brain that regulates emotion, memory and learning.

I just find it somewhat suspicious that an organization that is set out to prove something, scientifically proves something which is not accepted by the rest of the scientific community.  You can read their press release here.  What do you think?

ASU did a study some years ago on potential environmental relationships, and found that maternal seafood consumption (where mercury tends to reside in the food chain, often) had one with the frequency of autism in their children. Still, I believe that autism is a genetic predisposition that is triggered and evolved through environmental experiences.

IF as you say “autism is a genetic predisposition that is triggered and evolved through environmental experiences”, what in the environment has changed so drastically in the past 20 or 25 years that has caused such an increase in autism? CDC figures said that the autism rate was 1 in 10,000 in the early 1980s and they now give a number around 1 in 110. All of that increase can’t be attributed to better diagnosis.
The CDC cautions pregnant women (and everyone else as well) to limit their consumption of fish because the mercury contamination which may or may not be absorbed into the body, but then recommend flu shots which are injected into the blood system.

1. The mercury found from pollutants in our waterways is not in vaccinations.

2. If thermisol was the cause it has been removed from almost all vaccines so the rate should be dropping if your theory was correct.

Ever wonder why thimerosal was removed from many vaccines? After 60 or 70 years someone said “Whoops”.
Here is what Wikipedia says about thimerosal; “Thiomersal is very toxic by inhalation, ingestion, and in contact with skin (EC hazard symbol T+), with a danger of cumulative effects. It is also very toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long-term adverse effects in aquatic environments (EC hazard symbol N).[9] In the body, it is metabolized or degraded to ethylmercury (C2H5Hg+) and thiosalicylate”.

M-E-R-C-U-R-Y !! Which version is safe for human consumption or to be injected into the human body?
Ethylmercury, methylmercury or plain mercury like they use in thermomoters and sphygmomanometers.
