Apparently the legitimacy of my story is being questioned by people. Apparently I’m seen as a ‘whiney member of the neurodiversity movement.’ I would like to attempt to adress these things.
First off, I am not a member of the neurodiversity movement - as I’m not even sure what there movement is about. I’ve only heard of them. It would not be wise of me to follow a movement without studying it closely wouldn’t it?
Second off as far as proof I can only offer a screenshot of the email at this time - however I have a phone call into Zazzle to see if I can get a hard copy of the complaint from Autism Speaks.

I understand the need to be cautious when reading things on the Internet - as there is so much on the Internet that is false. I also understand that its difficult that an organization such as Autism Speaks fights to silence Autistic People - so I’m going to do the best I can to provide every ounce of proof necessary.

You do that Zach. Please do because I really want to see that horrible autismgadfly site proven WRONG! I can just imagine the looks on their faces when they see that you got proof of your being bullied by that horrible oranization that claims to speak for Autism!
I really do think “Autism’s Gadfly” is just trying to spread FUD on the issue (and you notice they’re the only site doing so as well), but yes.
More Damning Evidence is always good.
As soon as you can get a copy of the C&D notice (or was it a DMCA takedown) please post it on your own blog, AFF, wrongplanet and any other autism-related sites as well as here:

This is the best way to get the word out with 100% confirmation. Indeed, such notices tend to include “I confirm on penalty of perjury that the above is correct” or similar language. Chilling effects has some other good advice on responding to SLAPP tactics and you can always ask over on AFF for advice or me personally. I’m not a lawyer, but I do know how to spread these things around and spreading the word of their threats around may be almost as good as or even better than taking legal action for harrassment.
Zach, have you considered contacting the EFF (http://www.eff.org/about), sir?
