Many people, including with Aspergers Syndrome experience trouble in their friendships. Right now I’m at that point and its getting difficult for me, because I need guy friends so bad sometimes.
The Best Friend
I’ve used to have some really good friends, but my best friend is expecting his first baby this fall and is getting ready to go to school full time on top of his full time job. Its had for me not to feel abandoned by him, as I know hes got a lot going on. Its just so hard because he tells me call him anytime I need to talk or something, I call him and leave a message and he never answers his phone or calls me back.
Another Friend
I think I’ve lost another friend, because I was stupid. His wife is a social worker and was going around at church telling people that they should “be careful about befriending someone with Aspergers.” I was stupid and posted this on facebook and now I’ve lost a few friends because of it. I didn’t know how to handle the situation. How would you of handled it?
Guy Time
I’m getting married soon, and I really desperately need guy time. But I feel like I have no guys around me to have guy time with. Its causing me to drive my fiance nuts, because I’m starting to get too dependant on her to talk too. I can’t remember the last time a guy friend invited me over just to chat or hang out, or invited me to lunch. It feels like I’m totally unwelcome. What should I do?

I would have talked to him directly about it instead of posting on Facebook, but frankly, I wouldn’t trust a “friend” whose wife is saying things like that. You’re probably well rid of him.
