Digg, Moms, Vaccines and Autism

I just noticed that a great video about the relation of vaccinations and autism is now on the front page of digg.com (a popular online news site).  While the video is very informative, the comment warfare has already begun – and your help may be needed.

The video, currently listed on the front page of digg.com with 150 diggs is very informative and displays a lot of the emotion that 3 mothers are feeling about the misinformation that goes around about vaccinations.

The video itself, located above is very interesting because parents point out how much it frustrates them that parents are so scared of misinformation based on botched MMR research.  While they point out that their are suspicions and more research should be needed, but all scientific evidence points to no link.  The mothers also point out that the benefits of vaccinations are great, because as is obvious the reasons we have vaccines are to prevent children from dying from these diseases.

I already sense this is going to be an extremely hot topic in the comments section on digg.com and I encourage those that agree with these parent’s beliefs to stand up for them.

Currently some of the comments on digg.com that I’m seeing are:

vaccines are one of many techniques the negative elite use to control the world’s population (i.e. killing people)

See, unlike the tinfoil hat community, I don’t get my facts from C-level porn actresses, quacks, and pseudo-science. I’ll trust my pediatrician and my own ability to understand that the vast majority of evidence shows zero correlation between vaccinations and autism.
