A 16 year old only known as “Timmy” by the followers on his blog has been blogging throughout his summer break for 15 hours a day – 9AM until midnight updating the people of his neighborhood in Chicago on the latest criminal dealings live as they happen. What is also not known about Timmy is he has autism.The only breaks Timmy gets when blogging according to an article by TimeOut Chicago is when his mother tells him meals are ready – and that’s just because his mother won’t allow him to eat in his bedroom. According to Timmy during meals he is always wondering what he is missing on the scanner.
Timmy’s blog the Avondale and Logan Square Crime Blog has developed quite a following and is apparently the most followed crime blog in Chicago now. I think Timmy deserves congratulations on two things – the first of which is the successful launch of a blog which is always hard work, and two finding something that he can use his autism at to be successful with.
If you wish to follow Timmy as he blogs live from 9AM to midnight Chicago time seven days a week during his summer vacation. For those that don’t know Chicago, the crime rate is quite high so his blog must get busy at times.

I think he =deserves that *and more*! Timmy deserves congratulations on at least three things – the two you mention, and providing a public service helping his community be more aware of what’s going on around them. Being more aware empowers them to keep themselves and each other (including him!) safer.
