Child With Aspergers, Touretts Writes About Bullying

A 12 year old with Aspergers Syndrome and Tourettes wrote an emotion filled letter which was shown in a newspaper about the bullying he received in school and how it made him contemplate suicide.

Elija Vetma after being being bullied because of Asperger’s and Tourettes wrote a letter, which was printed in a local newspaper about how the bullying makes him feel.  Its a really emotional story.

This raises a big question – how often have aspies ourselves judged and teased others because of things they can not control about themselves?

The last part about not being able to go to a special school, nor function easily at a normal school is EXACTLY how I feel. I’m smart enough to take IB and other honors classes, but…well, this link to something that happened to me should clear it up:
