Autistic people are planning to protest a fund raising walk held by Autism Speaks in Boston, MA this Sunday, October 18th. Autistic people are getting quite upset with Autism Speaks, and there very bad behavior. Recently Autism Speaks recently degraded autistic people in a video to solicit funds for their organization. In the past they have legally threatened myself and other autistic people for speaking out against them – and we feel this must be stopped.
Autisitcs Protesting Autism Speaks
This protest follows other protests by Autistic people against Autism Speaks in Portland, OR and Columbus, OH. The protest is planned to start at 8:45 am at Suffolk Downs in East Boston, MA. If your going to be in the area and are curious about what Autistic People want with their own futures stop and talk to one of them.
If you are planning on protesting Autism Speaks at an event may I suggest this great shirt stating you have autism and you can speak for yourself. Also some great fliers are available as well that are professionally printed.
