Seven year old Autistic Girl Gina Marie Incandela sang the national anthem at the National Basketball Association Orlando Magic Game for the fourth time recently.   Gina does a great job in such an overwhelming situation – but it gets better.  The four times Gina has sung, the Orlando Magic have won!Gina Recently told the Orlando Sentinel, “It just makes peoples’ heart feel good and they like it when I sing, and it makes the Magic win every single time.”

Gina Singing The National Anthem

Gina’s great talent for singing was discovered by her parents when she was enrolled in a special needs program at the University of Central Florida where teachers used music to get her to talk.  She soon mastered a rendition of the National Anthem by Lian Rhymes.

Gina has obviously overcame a huge thing of being overwhelmed.  If you had the talent she has, whether you were autistic or not could you sing in front of a large packed sports arena?

Wow, good for her. :)
As for whether I could do the same, given the same talent – probably not. Even if I am good at something, I don’t like doing something with people watching.

Wow!! I was so amazed by her voice. It’s even more touching to know she’s diagnosed with autism and singing helped her to start communicating. I love to sing and have an 11 year old diagnosed with severe autism and non-verbal, so it gives me lots of hope. God bless!
