Autism Hub Shutdown

A hugely valuable resource in the Autism Community has been shut down.  Today the Autism Hub was deactivated.  A message was posted on the hub stating “The Autism Hub is on hiatus until further notice. As usual, all participating blogs may be found at their own URLs.”  AspieWeb and many other blogs by people with Autism, family members of those with autism and educators were listed on the Autism Hub.

An email sent out by Dave Seidel hints that conflict is the reason for the shut down.

Hi everybody,

I have put the Hub on hiatus for an indeterminate amount of time.  I’m not going to get into all of the reasons, except to say that I have reached my limit, and I need a long and possibly permanent break.  When the Hub returns to operation, if indeed it does, it will likely have an administrator other than me.
I won’t speak for HJ, except to pass on that she agrees with this decision.  She may have some words or her own to add.
Best of luck with your blogs and lives and everything.  I’ll be around.
-Dave
I want to thank Dave for his service to the Autism Community.  This is a sad day.
