To anyone who reads this from the great state of Massachusetts, there is a Autism Holiday Shopping Fest today. There will be educational and sensory toys and games, new and used books and DVDs, note cards, autism awareness shirts, hats, jewelry and other awareness items. There will be book signings with Elizabeth Larsen, a 18-year old with Aspergers Syndrome and author of “Buster Hardings: Buster Makes New Friends” and Christopher Tremblay author of “Beyond the Dragon” about a 9-year old boy with Aspergers Syndrome who joins a soccer team.
The event will be held at Seekonk Congregational Church 600 Fall River Ave, Seekonk, MA 02771 today from 9:30 AM-3PM

Just a question, why are you advertising stuff for autism awareness? From what I’ve heard, “autism awareness” is just a pretty cover-up name for trying to “solve the puzzle” and “find a cure.”
That is just one side of Autism Awareness – its just as good to call Autsitics wanting to be treated like people not a diseased cow Autism Awareness as well.
I gotcha. But wouldn’t it be awesome if we could weed the searching for a cure part of autism awareness out?
