Friends, a store started by parents in order to help pay for an advocacy worker for their children with Autism and other disabilities was broken into with massive damage caused in an attempt to rob the store according to police officials in North County Dublin.

According to the report the store sustained around €1,000 in damage and the entry was damaged so badly that store employees – many of whom are disabled – could not enter the store.

A spokesman for the charity said “They couldn’t get in but they caused a huge amount of damage I’m just disgusted. The upset was worse than the financial loss. We have one manager, everybody else is here out of the goodness of their hearts. I can’t believe somebody would do something so low as to rob charity shops that are there to help the vulnerable”

If you remember just last weeka free autism drop in center was vandalized also.  Damage their included, graffiti, destroyed electrical equipment, and urinating on tables.

This saddens me, both as someone with Asperger Syndrome and somone who was raised in Ireland. I hope they found the unfeeling scumbags responsible for this.
