As some of you may have noticed, Google Ads have just up and gone – well there’s a very bad reason why. About a month ago AspieWeb was once again attacked. An unknown person clicked the advertisements on Aspieweb over 200 times in one day – which is an attack known as a clickbomb. Google sees these clicks as ‘fraudulent clicks’ and suspended my contract with the AdSense program. After attempting to communicate what happened and how to the Google Adsense staff – I was stiffed with a prefabricated form letter response.
The Google AdSense program is what payed for this blog, and gave me a few extra dollars to help pay the bills. While I do not have proof of this, I would not doubt if individuals against the Autism Self-Advocacy movement were involved in this attack against AspieWeb. Right now I’m trying to figure out how to replace the income from Google Adsense and am open to some suggestions. You can either comment on this post, or contact me using the contact page. Right now I’m looking at privately seeking out companies to sponsor aspieweb, or another ad-network that’s as decent as Google Adsense. I’m also looking for people to support aspieweb in non-financial and very easy methods.
