Overwhelmed and Coping

Well I just had a curb ball thrown in my plans, on top of being overwhelmed so I’m figuring out what I’m going to do to go cope.I’ve decided that I’m going to go in search of cheesecake and chocolate, clean my apartment, make a video showing off my new place to all of you, and while that video is rendering I’m going to get my oil changed and then I’m going for a drive to Mt. Balde.

Katelyn and I on Mt. Balde

Mt. Balde is where Katelyn and I got engaged – its a very large sand dune on the coast of Lake Michigan in Saugatuck, MI.  Its really rainy here today so I think it will be peaceful there today – and I need a peaceful place to sit, reflect, pray and hope for the best.

I’m really hurting right now, I don’t know why Katelyn is in the hospital, I can’t talk to her, and I’m scared shes not going to get better.  I love her, and I love our child and I don’t want to give either of them up.

As I type this I’m playing some worship music on Pandora – and its amazing the calming effect it gives me.  I’m finding that when your worshiping God, Satan’s influence has a lot less of an effect on me.

So today is a day of cheesecake, chocolate, and bald sand dunes.

How do you cope when your overwhelmed or frustrated with bad things in life you can’t change?  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Me, I drown myself in beautiful music.
Music makes me feel good and happy. It makes my cells sing.
Music and books are my favourite things in the world.

More advice from me, lol. I hope you are not yet tired of me. I generally study. I have been obsessed with history for a very long time, and I am very into studying the bible and the times in which the stories occured.

I happen to have a book with the complete works of the First Century Jewish Historian Josephus, an I witness to the things described in the New Testement. I compare and contrast his writings with the gospels, and I find it quite enlightening!

I am also a rabid fan of The Marx Brothers, Groucho especially, so when I am blue, it is usally time for some green tea and a Marx Brothers Movie Marathon! I reccomend in particular the movies Duck Soup, and Monkey Buisness! Classic!

I am also a rabid fan of Tolkien, owning 11 of his books about Middle-Earth, so I escape by going into the finely crafted world of Arda as often as possible.
