Aspergers, Love and Whales?

in Aspergers Living

So I went to the local library as my computer burned out another power supply.  As I was updating this site I found a book called Mozart and the Whale which you may just want to read…

I went and searched ‘Aspergers Love’ in the card catalog and this book came out (and so did another one which is oddly enough checked out currently… most likely by Kate).

If Kate and I end up trying to reconcile along with counseling I’m going to ask Kate to go watch Adam an Aspergers story movie in a relationship and we will read this book together.

There is also apparently a movie out too based on this book.

You can buy the movie for $13 right now and the book is available for purchase at $11.70

Does anyone have any reviews on this book or movie?

I saw the movie Adam. My friend recommended I see it as she thought my boyfriend might be an Aspie. After seeing it and doing a lot of reading, I am now convinced… That was my boyfriend in the scene where she was needing help dragging the cart of groceries, etc. up the steps and he was preoccupied by something on the computer as he sat on the steps – totally oblivious to her need for help. Watch it! It’s good!
I have not yet read Mozart and the Whale , but will.

Hello
I read that book. It’s a wonderful book.
Best thing about it is it shows how difficult being married can be and how it’s full of challenges, but worth it. I loved how they had so much in common and they liked cockatiels (Are those the same as cockatoos or are they different? They are both cute.) But they were also different too and needed to learn to understand each other better and communicate.
Haven’t seen the movie though.
I hate movies of books I like 9 times out of 10.

I hope one day Kate and I can use the lessons learned in this book.
