A child with Aspergers Syndrome recently ran away, and spent 11 days in a subway according to reports. Francisco Hernandez Jr survived with just $10 in his pocket and a book bag on his lap. The 13 year old with Aspegers Syndrome a form of Autism got in trouble at school and then ran away, fearing a scolding at home. He spent 11 days hiding in the New York City subway system.
What is puzzling to a lot of people is how he spent 11 days undetected in the subway system which is covered with surveillance systems, cameras and police officers. His parents which are Mexican immigrants believe the police did not take them seriously.
What do you think?

Hmmmm, sure is interesting that he could have gone undetected that long. Seems that for whatever reason, someone somewhere didn’t do something that needed to be done, and the ball was dropped.
Glad he’s okay, though.

I think it says a lot when they can’t find someone for 11 days in the NYC subway system. Thats supposed to be terrorist proof.
