So as many of you know I am looking for an apartment right now and I thought it would be a good idea to discuss things to look for when looking for an apartment.  So I compiled a list of things that I am looking for and thought I would share it for those on the spectrum that will be looking for their own apartments.

Lighting
I like apartment to be dark and I hate florescent lights and compact florescent lights.  Will I be able to adaquetley light the apartment, especially the needed areas such as the kitchen and bathroom with LED lights.

Funk
People on the spectrum are often very sensitive to smells.  Does the apartment complex or the apartment your looking at come with a smell?

Over Stimulating Neighbors
Is your apartment known as a party town for college students?  Will you be able to hear the neighbors at all days?  Are there repetitive noises that you often hear?

Textures
What is the texture of the carpet and tile?  Does it cause sensory issues?

Public Transportation
Many people on the spectrum have issues driving.  If this is an issue make sure public transportation is availalbe close by.

Also be sure to ask your friends about complexes and do your research online.  What suggestions do you have?
