I was having an interesting conversation with someone yesterday on whether people with Aspergers can have an Axis II diagnosis. Axis II diagnoses are used to diagnosed things caused by mal-adaptive behaviors such as Borderline Personality Disorder. This person brought up how people with Aspergers follow a different set of social rules and were going to have trouble and when we mess up it may be actually adaptive behaviors trying to help us where we come up short socially.
The whole theory to be honest kinda confuses me but I would like to see some conversation and thoughts on this.
