Support AspieWeb
Hi Everyone, I’m coming to you asking for help on keeping AspieWeb alive. AspieWeb, as any other large website has significant costs associated with the running and maintaining of the site. It is my hope that people who see the value of this website will contribute and pitch in to make sure that it stays alive to continue to be a resource to those in the Autism community.
What Is AspieWeb
AspieWeb is one of the leading Autism and Aspergers information and resource sites on the internet. It has consistently grown since it was first launched over three years ago. AspieWeb now boasts over 25,00 pageviews a month with 17,000 unique visitors. Thats about 17,000 people who read AspieWeb a month for helpful support, information and resources. It was recently ranked the 11th Best Trafficked Autism Blog by Wikio for November 2010 and has the Alexa Rank of 1,105,654 – that’s nearly in the top million websites online!
The Costs
AspieWeb, as any large site has costs that are associated with the running of it. Our new current providers costs go month by month but are expected to be around $40 a month. The domains AspieWeb runs off from can be divided into $4 a month. Lets break down more of the montly costs for you.
- $40 -Hosting and Bandwidth
- $4 – Domain Names A Month
- $225 – Labor (Minimum Wage at 1 hour per day)
I spend much more then one hour a day on this website – but your starting to get the point.
The Revenue
AspieWeb has a variety of sources of income. Google AdSense, AdBrite and Amazon Affiliates generate about $50 each month, just barely enough and sometimes not enough to cover the costs of running this website. Its clear now that I need your help to keep this resource alive!
